OUR STORY
1st Generation Family-Owned Farm
Our farming journey began with the purchase of our homestead in April of 2020. We have since poured our hearts and souls into restoring the land and building a future. We aim to grow all of our own meat and most of our fruits and vegetables while sharing our stories and bounty with the local community.
ABOUT BRICK HOUSE HOMESTEAD
We are a small first generation farm focused on pasture based regenerative agriculture. We have gardens, a small orchard, egg laying hens, and pasture raised broiler chickens. However, our main focus is the raising and breeding of our heritage breed Berkshire pigs on pasture.
REGENERATIVE, PASTURE RAISED, & GMO-FREE
We believe that healthy animals come from a healthy environment. Animals need fresh air, sunlight, healthy food, and room to roam and express their natural behaviors in order to thrive. All of our animals are raised on pasture as soon as they are old enough to handle the outside temperatures. We feed all of our animals a locally grown and milled GMO-free ration along with forage from the pasture and plenty of treats.
